About kathy

Over the last 30+ years I have worked with individuals and couples, children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. My life experience as both a partner and parent of bi-racial children enable me to work with people with an array of problems, challenges and cultural diversity. With motivation, commitment, and hard work, most people are able to improve their mood and gain greater satisfaction in their relationships and their lives. After my initial assessment, I collaborate with my clients to develop a treatment plan that addresses their unique goals.

I am certified as an EMDR therapist with advanced training. In many cases EMDR dramatically decreases the time needed to help people reach their goals.I also have an interest in working with families whose loved ones are suffering from dementia. I currently facilitate a support group for the San Diego Alzheimer's Association.

I believe that anyone can conquer fear by doing things he fears to do, provided he keeps doing them until he gets a record of successful experiences behind him.
